Genesis SC Platform
Advanced Semiconductor Division of Universal Instruments

Genesis SC Platform

The Genesis SC is Universal Instruments’ NEW high accuracy single beam platform focused on serving the semiconductor market.  As with other Genesis platforms, it features un-matched capabilities of accuracy, speed and flexibility.

The Genesis SC is equipped to manage the assembly requirements of emerging technologies such as flip chip, system in package, embedded components and 3D assembly.

The Genesis SC Platform is specifically designed to provide:

·       Flexibility to place a broad range of components.

·       Superior throughput

·       Benchmark  placement repeatability and accuracy

·       Minimal maintenance requirements

·       Ease of use

Genesis is based on the platform philosophy originated by Universal Instruments, with common mechanical, electrical, and software interfaces that allow the development of options (heads, cameras, feeders) in response to changing production demands.

Dimensions Linechart Reporting Tool
Manufacturing Information at your Fingertips!

Dimensions Line Chart

In today’s PCB manufacturing factories, machine downtime, inefficient operation, and time spent investigating issues can have a profound effect on a company’s performance. All of these issues and many others can be avoided by having the ability to quickly and accurately identify problem areas in production lines. Universal’s newest Linechart reporting tool is designed specifically to give graphical representations of PCB manufacturing key performance indicators. These graphs can be used to monitor all aspects of the surface mount pick and place process and identify where you should focus your resources to take corrective actions before they cost too much time and money. The six main key performance indicators graphically displayed in Linechart are:

  • Productivity
  • Efficiency
  • Component Wastage
  • Components Per Hour
  • Board Count
  • Quality

Linechart also contains reporting capability, which can be exported into any of the Microsoft Office tools, and has built in statistical process control tools (i.e., standard deviation, mean, etc) that can be displayed as limits and parameters on each chart.

Linechart is unique in that it can monitor not only Universal’s Genesis, Advantis, and Advantis X platform products, but a wide range of other supplier’s pick and place equipment as well!

For more information on Line Chart, visit us at www.uic.com, today.
